Default F-body Heater Hoses - in and out?

Seems like something I should know but I don't for sure - which fitting coming off the WP is out to heater and which is return? Thanks. -Bob

If all you're doing is connecting them to the heater core, they're two different sizes. Small to small and big to big.

I want to run one of them to a pressurized surge tank and if I remember correctly the VA a/c unit both fittings are the same size - will have to check it again.

The small one is usually the pressure or output from the pump. This is true for most pressure system, if you look at your power steering, AC and water pump systems.
