Default Compression of 2004 6.0L

I've put a 6.0L from a 2004 Silverado in my 87 Buick Turbo T. I've heard everything from 8.8 to 9.6 for compression. Does anybody know for sure. Thanks, Chris.

It depends on what vehicle it was removed from. In 2004, it could be an LQ4 or an LQ9. If it's an LQ4, it's 9.4:1, if it's an LQ9, it's 10:1.

For the 2004 model...PN 12561721,
'01-'06 LQ4, Int. 196 0.467 116
Exh. 207 0.479

Here's some good reading on LQ4's...http://www.carcraft.com/projectbuild...ock/index.html

I did the same swap that you're doing, so here's a link to my build up...
