Default LT1 + Muncie 4spd

I'm going to be putting an SM465 behind my '97 LT1 and was wondering what flywheel and such I'll be needing to use? Thanks!

I don't have one yet as I'm unsure of what I need. I've been going through TH350's like mad and I miss side stepping the clutch. So I'm trying to get all the right parts together before I pull this Tcase & tranny for the umpteenth time.
Surely I won't be the first person to have done this

people have put lt1s in c3s which haven muncie 4spds in them. i would imagine you just need to go to a parts store and the a fly wheel and clutch for what ever year it came out of car. i have a muncie in my 69 corvette so i would imagine a 69 corvette clutch and flywheel will work.

he's running an sm465. its a 4wd truck transmission with a 10 spline input shaft. i imagine you're going with a borg warner style clutch? get a clutch for an 87 blazer, should be a 10" unit and will fit a 1pc, external balance, 153 tooth flywheel for that same year blazer. summit sells a flywheel with a few different pp bolt patterns for different size and style clutches.

i have no idea. thats why i said probably be best to get a clutch and flywheel out of the same year vehicle it came out of.

i didnt realize the muncie has different splines for each one. my knowledge on the muncie is pretty limited as the only one i have dealt with is in my corvette and im not even sure of how many splines that is.

sorry for the miss information and thanks for correcting me wicked94z

the sm465 is a heavy duty truck transmission with super low first gear (like 6.50ish) which makes it a great rock crawling trans. It's still a muncie, but ALOT different than your typical m20, m21, m22, etc.
