Default sn95 swap

I have a 94 mustang chassis I have been putting together and plan to swap a budget built ls1/turbo 400 combo into for next year to try and run 10.0 index with. Car has been fully gutted and has fiberglass hood and front bumper and should weigh under 3000lbs. Right now the motor is a stock cubic inch with patriot heads and ms3 cam ls6 intake and 4000 stall converter and will be picking up a set of long tube headers and going to swap it over to a carb setup and run the 6ls on it.

Car as it sits right now. Have the complete front suspension sitting here ready to go in just going to order up a team z sbc swap k-member for it next week and aje motor mounts and trans mount.

Also will start cleaning up and smoothing out the engine compartment while everything is out and get it all painted up with por15.

Rear is at J&E automotive getting late model ford big 9" housing ends installed and shortened two inches per side and the axel tubes welded and brace. Once its back I'll be ordering up strange 35 spline axels, spool, 4.30 gear for it and will then move onto the rear suspension. Plan is to either run team z rear suspension with there relocated upper or may decide to go with wolfe for the rear.

Has anyone used a team z k-member to do this swap? If so what motor mounts did you use? Or does everyone just use the AJE k-member and mounts?

Talked with dave at team z and going to go ahead and use his sbc swap k-member and order up a set of short moroso sbc solid mounts and run there adapter plate to bolt them to the ls motor. Hoping I won't run into any problems with the dynatech headers with going this route but will find out soon.

I went with the AJE crossmember and fabbed my own motor mounts and trans mount. Also made my own headers from 302 headers w/LS1 flanges welded on.

Any chance you're looking to sell the wire harness for the instrument cluster? Any how, good luck w/ your build.

A few updates on the car.

Well decided to just go with a big block as i already have 2 454 short blocks im not using so going to drop one in the mustang.

Team z k-member

Team z adjustable a-arms and caster camber plates and strange single adjustable struts. Coil over kit for the struts will be here next week.

TRZ motorsports double adjustable upper and lowers, spherical bushing, anti roll bar, coil over brackets, and afco double adjustabe coil overs

Racecraft new adjustable lower controll arm bracket for 8.8

Rear housing back from J&E narrowed 2inch, axel tubes welded and braced and late model ford 9" housing ends installed. Spindles are being powder coated right now and rear will be next once I get the coil over brackets and anti roll tabs welded on.
