Default Budget Lq4 build

Hey guys need some advice on a budget build. I got a complete LQ4 in good running condition with 106k miles for 700 bucks. Im going to put this my 1991coupe Mustang with a carb and th350 tranny. I hope maybe to put some boost to it later so I was wondering if I should rebuild it or shove a cam, heads, and carb on it and go? Im on a somewhat tight budget and dont want to wait forever to put this combo together

1. Who has the best deals on forged pistons?
2. Will the stock crank work with aftermarket longer rods?
3. If I use the stock crank with forged pistons and aftermarket rods will this be strong enough for say 10lbs of boost.
4. Oil pan and pump reccomendations as well please.

Thanks for any help!

2.) Yes, as long as your pistons have the correct pin height.
3.) I see a number of people running 10-15 lbs of boost on stock motors, so I would tend to say yes. Under boost, it seems it's the rods that fail first. Over all it's very dependent upon the compression ratio you're running. Any idea what heads you'd like to use? The 317's that the LQ4 will come with are a very good starting point.

I was thinking of just running the stock heads first but I may either do L92s or something ported. Im going to try to keep the compression around 9.5. I was also thinking of buying a stock oil pump and getting the passenger car pan kit with pick up from Jegs.
