Default replace oil pump?

I just bough a LQ9 for my 3rd gen. I have the timing cover off and was wondering if i should replace the oil pump or just leave it. The motor has 145k miles on it. Also how much deflection should the timing chain have in it?Thanks

if you have that many miles on it and easy access to do the job, then why not? invest in a chain and oil pump and gain piece of mind.

i agree with these guys. 145k miles is quite a bit, for less then 200 bucks that it would be good piece of mind knowing you don't have to go back into it for a pump later on down the road.

Default thanks

thank you for the info guys. thats exactly what i was thinking. Would gain definite peace of mind. Which timing chain set should I get for the LQ9 the ls1 or ls2 double roller set? Both are the same price i believe.
