Default LQ4/T56 flywheel bolt question

Hey guys, I'm doing a LQ4 swap and I tried to reuse my stock LS1 flywheel bolts but they're too small. Are they supposed to be the same size? The guy that built the motor said it was the newer LQ4 and was good for a T56, so I don't know if they drilled the holes out and retapped them or what? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

By "too small" do you mean too short? If you still have the spacer installed on the end of the LQ4 crankshaft, the (LS1) flywheel bolts will appear to be too short. You need to remove the spacer when using a passenger car transmission like the T56.
