I just bought 2 245/45/17's. I figured they would be too small but they were in pretty good shape and I got em for CHEAP!!! I think they came off of a 2001 GT. They look really good and I'de like to use them if they aren't going to look like TOTAL A$$. If they do I might put a forsale sign on them.

I've seen it done a few times. It is definately smaller than the 275 which are standard, but not grossly small. Nobody will probably notice.. I'd do it in a pinch for sure.

30mm is not much at all. They will fit, but I'd replace them as soon as possible. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> 275s just grip better from my experiences. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Ok these tires will be for thr front of the car so it won't matter TOO much about how they hook or anything. I just can't drive as fast as around the curves as with the 275's. I have some tires for the rear so that is not a problem.

I got the tires put on the wheels today. They don't look tooo bad, the lip on the side is about flush with the sidewall. I have to get some center caps before I can put them on. I am going to Jackson tomorrow and see what I can find. Maybe I will have them on by Friday and I will have some pics when the weather gets better.

I have a set of 245/45/17's on the fronts of mine for almost a year with problems at all. I havent changed my driving style and it corners just fine. I doesnt look as meaty as the rear but handles fine.
