Technically you could fail a visual inspection which emissions inspectors are SUPPOSED to do. However, you will pass the OBDII test so long as the SES light isn't on because you're removed it.

do you mean a.i.r pump? if so they cant see it from the engine bay anyway. now if you remove all the hoses and attach block off plates on the manifolds they will see that, and probably fail you

He lives in Texas. Ain't that one of the least strictest states? I know it can vary from one part of a state to another, but ****, it's Texas. You'll probably pass. Especially if you get the AIR codes removed.

Actually Texas is pretty strict. In Austin we have to run through a sniffer test.

Different parts of texas are different in the panhandle there isn't much of a hassle to get anything passed due to emissions but in the central area I think it's a little tougher

As long as the SES light is off, you will pass. I pulled out my smog/AIR stuff when I did my headers install back in 2004. I've had no problem passing inspection since.
