Default Bare heads - Trickflow

Thinking about getting these bare since I plan on using the springs I already have on my stock heads.

Who has done this? Would a valve job be required? If so I'll probably get the assembled version then keep the springs for spares or let someone have them cheap.

Might save money that way rather than getting them bare then having to buy valves and get the machine work done.

Opinions?

It's sometimes cheaper to buy them assembled, but you need to make sure they will be sufficient enough for your setup. Some setups require different springs with different install heights, etc. But since you are using your springs, then go for it. Are they for a future build or will they be complimenting your current engine?

The springs would be fine for my cam but I already have better double springs so no reason to use the trickflow ones. They will be going on my current stock shortblock.

Your heads stock with springs? Id get new valves and yeah id say u would probably need a valve job to insure valve seat angles are right. Or give AI a call and get the same package i got.

Yes my heads are stock with springs. I dont want the AI stuff. I'd rather do something a little different.

My bare TFS heads did not come with a valve job, but I got the 195cc ones, and this was when they first came out.
