Default Issue after cam install

so I got my car back from the shop a week ago, 04 GTO 6m

LG G5 cam installed 224/230 112lsa
stock unported 243s
new springs pac1218
ls2 chain
ls7lifters

already had ps lt headers, catless mids, ported tb

it ran ok when I first got it, had it street tuned by a local tuner. Not the power I was expecting from a cam and heads swap. next day I get cel light got a code reader and it was for knock sensors. I looked back by the manifold and the wire for the knock sensors was unplugged somehow, must of worked it self loose with the 112 lsa shaking.

car ran great after pluggin in the sensor wire. good power I was happy.

2 days later drove it again and the power is gone again, check plug wires, sensors etc everything is good. what is going on with my power issue? raced my friend in his s2k and he was with me till 3rd gear. I should wasted a stock 05 s2k with a cammed ls1 right?

any ideas? no codes or anything. I had the tuner come over and he checked out the tune and made a few adjustments however the power is def not back like if was that one night. is my cam to small to feel that much of a change?

Until you get it on the dyno, you do not know what the motor is doing. You could have a vaccume leak or showing knock.

A 228/230 cam should definitly be noticiable over stock. I will also mention you may need a gearing upgrade. I under stand you have a M12 trans which has better ratios but due to the weight you may want to consider that upgrade too.

At worst, you can unplug the battery and let it re learn. ODBII PCM's do not like to be messed with and MAY make changes or adjustments to that "Street Tune"

Personally if you CANNOT get to a dyno, at least get some data logged files and email them to a mail tune sponsor, they tend to be very helpful.

your knock sensor didnt magically come unplugged. my cam has a 112 lsa and this has never happened to me. sounds like a half *** mechanic. i wouldn't be surprised if a half *** mechanic would recommend a half *** tuner.

if in fact the tune is good, then i would lean toward a vacuum leak.

thanks for the advise.. I listened for any leaks and could not hear anything. check all the hoses at the valve covers and behind manifold etc...

do u think it might be possible to have installed the cam a tooth off? or not adjusted the rockers correctly.

used a 7.4 pushrod with ls7 lifter and a 224/230 cam I heard u need a tad shorter with ls7 lifters?

this **** is annoying car has been down for ever and when it comes back it runs like poop, I feel the power just not what I feel it should be at. maybe Iam expecting too much from a small 224 cam?
