Default Tell Me I'm Not Crazy

Okay, I have an opportunity to buy an 04 GTO ls1 with an automatic with 26,000 miles for $3400. Am I crazy for wanting to buy this engine? My wife sure thinks so. Help me convince her otherwise or set me straight.

Not crazy if you want an auto.

Not far off what I got my '04 w/ 6speed setup for, and seems about right from my rummaging on ebay.

Or is your wife the type that doesn't understand the cost of hobbies? Or the type that doesn't want you spending money if it's not on her?

Its a bit high, but the miles are very low. Too bad its an 04 which would still be a GEN III LS1. 05+ got the GEN IV LS2s

it's an OK deal IMO since it's low miles...pretty sure you're talking about the same ad I looked at the other day

Damn, cheapest I had seen from them for an ls2 was still over $4800. The trailblazer engines were a little less but still not around $3400.

I have a girl friend that's both. You just have to look past the pretty face and say "I'm the man, and I'm gonna buy whatever I want". As they say: its easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for approval. lol.

seems like a good deal. does it come with all the accessories (alt, ps, wp, a/c comp)?

Are you nuts, your wife is absolutely correct....run away as fast as you can....it's too high..........

But before you do, give me the number, so I can check it out to make sure he's not lying to you.......
