Default Low idle

At a cold start my idle starts around 300 rpms and bounces from there to 500 rpms. After 160 degrees or so my idle stays around 500 mark. At times it will just bounce from 400 to 600 rpms > cold or warm. What could cause this sudden change? I've noticed that my brakes seem stiffer at times to > could this be linked?

maybe your coolant temp and engine speed tables are messed up. i think there are settings for what rpms to run at what coolant temps

Not sure what a IAC motor is? Ed Wright did my tuning > would and could it be possible that my PCM lost its tuning? Last night I was feeling around the back of my Holly intake manifold to check vacum hoses, and the hose that connects to brake booster really all that tight > could that be the problem > a vacum leak from booster to intake?

Sorry about that last part not making much sense > Its supossed to read that the hose was not super tight, It could turn a little left to right.

Nevermind, hose is very tight and idle problem continues..... There is no vacuum leak. What type of computer (PCM) problems could I look for to fix this pain in my ***?

Ed Wright did my tuning > so as far as what tuning I have? I guess how ever he decieded to tune it??? I noticed it after changing my intake manifold gasket to my Holley intake. At the same time I had taken the car to a dealer to fix my security system on my ignition. My car wouldn't start > some wire had fallen of that readed the car key, or thats what they had told me. I was shooting a missfire code prior to all of this (that you had given me some advice on WS6FirebirdTA400. The missfire was due to intake gasket having a rip in it near #1 cylinder. Wish I could explain the tune better, but don't know how or what Ed did exactly....

dang, if u didnt touch the tuning then it should be fine. and if it warms up and idles fine im kinda lost lol. maybe u have a coolant temp sensor going bad. i knkow when i cut my wire the coolant temp read like -38 deg and the fans kicked on and the idle was 1800 lol so it happened right after doing that gasket?
