Have you guys read the specs on the new boss 302 mustang!!! 440hp out of 5.0l I'm seriously thinking about selling my old tech ls3 and getting one of these monsters... It's only 14 FWHP difference if Ford isn't lying. But, stock for stock the LS3 Camaro will lose because of the weight issue.

the boss 302 will cost above 40k and come with racing headers, exhaust,gears,etc. the only thing owner can do to add power is add a power adder by then the car will be above 50k.

my car 01ss is at 450 motor and weight in at 3650 with full tank and i in it.
bring it on......

Screw it yeah the ford stock will be a force but I'd rather destroy them with my TA and pocket 40k +

Think about the cars GM made in the 80s and early 90s....utter crap! Maybe Ford products were not much good either BUT, they knew how to market them and made better use of their profit. Guess why they did not used any government help....:)

What the hell does cars from 80's and 90's have to do with selling cars today?? Open up your eyes and look at the marketing and new products. Seems to be working and it looks like GM learned from it's mistakes. A niche car that sells 100,000 units/ year isn't going anywhere.

To the OP: Like I posted in the other thread, we don't know what's in store for the 2012 Camaro. A GMPP intake, tune and 3.73 gear could put the SS over the Boss. If you seriously bought your 2010 thinking it would be faster than all other cars forever then you really should sell it. You must not know much about bolt-on's plus your "old tech LS3".

1 cam >4 cams. just sayin.

ESPECIALLY when it comes time to work on it.

Yea, I hear ya.. Sorry about that. What gets me is that there are people on this site stating the 5.0 is faster than the Camaro but in fact it is not. I think they are 2 evenly matched cars that will give you what you want in a sports car. They both have there down falls ex. The Camaro is heavy and has IRS but has that big 6.2L to make up for it while the Ford is a little lighter, has a solid rear axel but has a smaller engine. My buddies 2010 A6 SS Camaro with boltons went low 12's at 116mph and this is with the stock stall converter. Put in a stall converter and that car is in the 11's with just boltons samething with the new Mustang.

I just want a sports car that doesnt come with navigation, 10.2 channel surround sound, a 97 way adjustable seat, in dash 20" high def flat screen, a refrigerator in the center console and goose down filled seats.

I think it would be cool if they brought back the old Chevelle back. You know basically a real muscle car. Powerful v8 (maybe use the Z06's LS7), non-electric simple cloth seats, no gps or expensive sound system, manual windows, big disk brakes all around, 6 speed manual transmission, and plain simple interior. But with upgrade options for those that want a little more luxury.

I'm with you on that one but sad it will never happen. I also own a 70 Nova and I would get rid of my wife before that car. LOL Something about the old muscle cars, they will never be replaced. If you have one hold on to it tight!

I love the simple design and power of old school muscle cars. The first car I was going to buy was a 67 Chevrolet El Camino with a 454BBC/TH350. No power seats, AM/FM radio, manual windows and bench seat. Too bad it wasn't running, needed new radiator, the whole bed floor needed replacement, and the $7,000 price tag seemed quite steep.

All I can say is there are multiple Boss threads other, correct, sections. Gen 5 Camaro External Bolt-On Tech is not the right section even if this weren't a troll post (which it is). Closed.
