Question is this okay? i need to know!!

i burned through a plug wire last week and had trouble finding a single wire for the one that was burnt, i didn't want to spend 60-70 bucks on new wires when the ones i have are basically brand new anyway. (they are the belden wires) i had advance order me a set of the xact plug wires for me cause i planned on just taking the one that i burnt and using it. would this be okay as long as its a 7mm wire like the old one? it shouldnt hurt it right?

i have a 1996 firebird Formula lt1

It won't hurt a thing.

You won't notice any difference. When I burn through a wire, I just cut it where it is burnt and then pull the boot and crimped end off, and re-attach it. It's kind of hard unless you have the wire stripping pliers with teeth on the end to re-crimp the metal end. If the wire is too short I swap it with one of the other cylinders that will reach. I always burn through cylinder #5 from my pacesetter headers being so damn close.

A fix for that is to use a #8 wire or equiv, route it in the sheath to the back of the block and then back to the #5 plug That way it is completely out of the way of the primary.
