max lift?? new to ls motors and i was wondering what is the max lift that stock lq4 heads can handle lookin to use a gmpp hot cam and ls6 springs will that work with just changing the springs?

Depends on deck height of heads (milled/unmilled?) which will play a factor in PtV clearance as well as gasket size. Changing springs will work as the LS6 springs are only .525 rated IIRC. I'd say you're safe with anything under .600 lift using stock gaskets, on unmilled heads, that's almost for sure.

thats great news thanks for th info i knew the ls motors could handle alot more lift compared to the gen 1 motors stock to stock but i didnt know it was that much. but the motor is untouched stock head gaskets unmilled and as far as a bigger cam im doin this build for my buddy and he doesnt want a big cam he is scared of the streetability and there is alot of choices out there but im gonna try to replicate a build carcraft did with a iron headed lq4 and a gmpp hot cam it made 480hp at the crank and 551 with l92 heads and a bit bigger cam
