Running without a MAF

Running without a MAF I just recently finished putting a LQ4 in my 89 Camaro. When I purchased the engine It didn't come with a MAF. I currently have a MP T76 turbo on it but for now I'm just trying to get it running.
My question is there a way to run the car without a MAF plugged in? I know that SD tunning is an option but it sounds like your car has to be running to dial that in.
