Default Broke down yesterday.. need help

My car completely died going up a hill yesterday.. it will not start at all now, had to get it towed

The fuel pump will prime and everything and it turns over but it is not starting.. i was wondering the best way to figure this out?

I'd really like some suggestions before i get into it

Thanks

Check fuel then spark. Even if the pump is running it doesn't mean there is the proper pressure. Check your grounds and if any of the wiring is jacked up.

I had a coil do that to me. Ran awesome, then nothing, just like someone flicked a switch. I'm betting its a spark issue. If it was a fuel issue it would have started to lose power over a few seconds, spit and sputter, and then die out.

2 things you can check for spark:

1) http://shbox.com/1/coil_testing.jpg

and to make sure the coil is being told to fire (and it probably is and just not doing it):

2) http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test

Same for me when my MSD jumper harness failed.

I soldered up all the crimped connections and (Ta-Da!), problem solved.

Hope it's that easy for you.
