96 ta fuel question Is there any systems controlling the fuel pump? I think my fuel pump went out, and I want to make sure its not something else that could be messed up making the fuel pump not work. Im pretty sure its the fuel pump thats gone out. Im not getting any fuel at the schrader valve. Tomorrow morning i am going to check the voltage at the pump. I just want to double check and make sure there couldn't be something else causing the error.

When you turn the key ON, the fuel pump runs for 2-3 seconds and then turns off until you start the motor. You should be able to hear it easily. It will sound like a buzz from the fuel tank area and should be steady. A more accurate way to determine its health is to do a fuel pressure test via the Schrader valve on the fuel rail if you are confirming the pump is still turning on. You can check for voltage at the fuel pump at both the relay and harness connector located near the fuel tank on the driver side ajacent to the sway bar mount.
