Looking forward to all these three fantastic games (xbox360). Especially to the new black ops although im hoping Halo Reach will bring me back to the old days of the first one.

Whatever they plan on calling the new Castlevania game, Gran Turismo 5, and probably Final Fantasy versus 13. I'm so far behind on gaming that I haven't looked at "what's coming" in a long time.

That's my list for the immediate future. In the long-term, it's Mass Effect III and Dragon Age II.

Diablo 3 will be more epic.

Fallout: New Vegas looks like it is just going to be more plot with little updates to the engine. I will probably buy it cause I am a fan boy but if it isn't diff it will just end up on the shelf.

I need to stop and finish the games I've got.

Diablo 3 is the only game I'm actively paying attention to. The rest are things I read about or hear about from co-workers when they come out. Sometimes that means I miss a new release, but that's not all bad. Paying $30 for a game everyone else has already played is sometimes better than paying $60.

I've preordered test drive unlimited 2 and NFS hot pursuit. I think i'm looking forward to nfs hp more because i love police chases, especially when i'm the one doing the chasing

I've been done with the Halo series since the third one, should have never even bought it.
They're all the same, I'm not paying another $60 for 10 new campaign missions, 3 new weapons, and a handful of new enemies.
Only one worth a damn to me was the first, even still I will probably never play it again.

Honestly, I suspect COD Black Ops won't be very good. Treyarch has a knack for messing up games and adding elements that are annoying.

God of War 3 can be rushed a bit.

Heavy Rain, TAKE YOUR TIME... The narrative has MUCH to savor, and you're going to want to stay on track with the clues and hints that culminate to the story's rich ending... Then, you're going to want to play out the ending different ways, since there's something like over 20 different possible ones.

Arkham Asylum is AMAZING... A lot to explore too, you're going to love it, it gets better and better. It puts other comic book based games to shame.

GT5 is out with a firm release date, 11/2/10. PD generally fudges with estimated releases and then delays them, but when they release a specific date to the public it's going to be that day.

I've updated my PS3 to the last firmware update that allows 3D gaming (already have a 3DTV), and I was really impressed by the Motorstorm 3D demo. I can't imagine how GT5 will be.

I didn't care for either of the Treyarch games in the past. But 90% of people who play the Call of Duty games have no idea who's developing them anyway. They see "Call of Duty" and they buy. That's where Activision is making all of their money.

The original founders of Infinity Ward have pushed the online twitch shooter subgenre so far in the post-Quake era in terms of innovation, and they had to fight publishers all the way in order to do it. Activision is full of businessmen and too few actual video game-minded people. They see graphs and think that increasing the volume of the product is the right way to go about things.

EA is learning to do it the right way, they've let the doctors run BioWare pretty much completely independent of EA itself, and Bioware is now becoming one of the most criticially and commercially successful developers in the industry. The guys who left Infinity Ward to start Respawn under EA (which is basically 80% of IW at this point) are going to be putting out some fantastic titles. Activision fucked its golden goose right in the ass. I'm sure the namesake will still sell, at least for a while. Look at where Tony Hawk is at these days. Name recognition alone can only do so much.

Activision is going to continue running successful franchises into the ground, nothing will change until their management does.

My only problem with EA is their dedicated servers are junk.
They put forward these games that should be great for online play, like battlefield, but their servers can't handle it.
If EA would get their online servers to run quickly and smoothly, I would gain a lot more respect for their online games.
Look at the upcoming Medal of Honor game. That game looks fantastic, but I will be astonished if it doesn't lag incessantly.

EA does do an excellent job outside of online gaming though. Bioware's creations are flawless, they've nearly perfected RPGs.
Even Battlefield Bad Company's storyline felt more captivating and interesting than the COD MW series.

Crysis 2 reminds me of another game that Crytek will be releasing sometime in 2011 (most likely).

Just picked up my copy of Crackdown 2 and love it. Mass Effect 3 for sure. Halo Reach because I love the story. The games are good, but not great. I will still get it, because well, it is Halo. I would say Diablo 3, but I haven't been into computer games in quite a while. Only the old clasics get played by me. Maybe Aliens Colonial Marines, maybe.

FYI they had/have 2 separate departments working on the game simultaneously.

The same department for SC2 will now mostly likely start working on patches and expansion(s).

Why do I need points in a Need for Speed game? Either you win or you lose, for what do you need points? Why is a car screaming yellow in the mirror but not on the road?

The closest thing to what you're talking about will be Test Drive Unlimited 2. The physics are somewhere between NFS and Forza. Somewhat realistic, but not entirely. It's set in a completely free roam environment on two realistically scaled islands: Ibiza and Oahu.

I can't wait for Portal 2. Dragon Age 2 looks pretty good, too. Still waiting on any information on HL2 Episode 3. Not holding my breath.

Criterion makes arcade-style racing games, not simulators like GT or Forza. The new NFS probably won't be what you're looking for if you're looking for a very authentic racing game.

I think Vendetta plays games more for the Single Player storyline. I like what they did with the story in SC2. I like how they made stuff you could upgrade while in game upgradeable permanently in the storyline. I like where they are going with this game. The story seems to be going somewhere amazing.

Oh yeah, top notch writing, as well as art, game engine, mechanics, sound, etc.

Oh yeah I'll definitely pick up TDU2, I've got the first one and it was fun, just hope the next is a little more improved...fun either way just to cruise.
