tune question...

tune question...
so ive seen plenty of LS1s put longtubes, catless y and a catback on and gain 30-40rwhp after a tune...well my LT1 has K&N CAI, longtubes, catless Y, and a magnaflow, no tune...does anyone have an idea how well LT1s with the similar mods respond to a tune? is it gonna be noticeable? thanks guys

yea im not lookin for a precise number, just curious if they respond the same as an LS1 powerwise, or close to it, because if a tune can shave a couple tenths off my ET ill be happy

LS1s really benefit from tunes, I believe the rwhp gain is more from tunes then headers on an LS1. LS1s could gain upwards of 15-20 rwhp through the average full exhaust being that their stock manifolds are very similar to shorty header performance. While an LT1 could gain upwards of 25 rwhp from headers alone. This comes through experiences ive seen, heard and read on both platforms LTx and LSx.

If you used a catless Y the car will be PIG rich and NEEDS to be tuned.
