Default my 1st couple runs at the track...what do you think?

My window motor didnt want to let the window come up, so we had to spend most of our time rigging it up to stay up, so I only got 2 passes. Ill post the important stuff now, and maybe the slips in the morning.

Dont know the DA, but the track is about 400ft & it was between 75-80*

1st run: Left at 2000rpm, slipped the clutch, but first run jitters got to me, missed 4th :/
60- 2.188
1/8- 8.704 @ 86.00
1/4- 13.579 @96.31

2nd run: Left at 3000rpm, but less of a slip but not a dump.
60- 2.049
1/8- 8.527 @ 85.89
1/4- 13.121 @ 108.57

I got what I was hoping for on only my 2nd ever run, so I am pleased with the results. I think next week with a better launch I can crack that 12.999 barrier before I get my LS6 intake and tune.

mods in sig, but no dyno numbers yet, waiting til I get an LS6 to do the tune (and get the numbers). I saw a guy on here with the same mods & untuned like my and he was 344/351, so in that ballpark.

Good job for your first ever time, you definitely have a 12 in that car. After my tune, if there is decent weather it will be worth skipping class to get to run.

Not bad for your first time.

I too have an m6 (stock 02'WS6) and there is ALOT more to think about from the launch to you banging the gears without shifting too late/early etc.

My first time out in years, I was in the low 14's but I was able to get 13.6 towards the end of the night.

What RPM were you shifting at?

you'll prolly get 12s next time out..like others said get your shift rpm right, shift faster, and experiment with tire pressure/launch. Also, do the basic stuff like take out extra weight and only go with maybe 1/4 tank of 93 or less

Not bad for your first time! Now wire up a 2-step and dump the clutch around 5,500rpms with some ET Drags. Should definately run 12's then.

The first run about 5800, second run I was a little early (5500) on the 1-2 and 2-3.

I dont know about taking weight out, cuz I just want the number to reflect how I drive it daily. We'll see though. I know I could shift harder though.

Just hearing about 5500rpm dumps make my 10 bolt cringe. Ive been playing with the idea of a DR, but that might all wait til next year whenever I figure otu what my setup will be (cam only, h/c, spray?) but I also didnt have traction issues, but I ***** launched so how could I?
