I think I know the answer but I'll ask to be sure...LS2 intake? Can us LS1 motor guys use a LS2/LS3 intake as opposed to a LS6? I want to mod my 98 Z28 and the LS6s are expensive, new at least...and the newer intakes are cheaper.

ls2 have to have adapters for the injectors, throttle body (I think), and they don't even flow as good as the ls6 unless they're ported
ls3 have rectangle ports so you need rectangle port heads...l92 heads won't fit due to bore...MAST makes l92 small bore heads but they are ungodly expensive
your best bet is to suck it up and drop 3 bills on a ls6 and be done with it
