Just a quick question about springs/retainers/pushrods
Just wondering if the springs and retainers that my shop have picked out here seem good enough for the small cam? I am only bumping up the cam/springs etc since I have a few bad lifters in there anyways and was just wondering if these 915 springs are adequate? I hope so because I think it may be a little too late lol Here's the basic setup. Thanks for any help here guys.
Comp 212/218 (.522/.529) 114lsa | Comp 915 springs/retainers#77416 | /chromemoly pushrods and new Comp lifters and replacement timing chain.

915's - Good for 0.600" lift
918's - Good for 0.625" lift
774 are steel retainers for either 915 or 918 springs.
772 are titanium retainers for either 915 or 918 springs.

Okay so it IS that simple, that's sort of what I figured but wasn't sure. thanks! I wasn't sure if the lift was the only important factor, but that clears that up then since this is a baby cam. Thanks again.

In your case, yes. In larger cams with more aggressive lobes, its more complicated, kinda...

Lift capability doesn't mean diddly. It is seat force and open force and the spring's ability to control the valve train. Those springs are stiffer then Z06 springs and will likely come in around 115# on the seat. I would think they would be OK with that cam, but Comp should be able to answer that. Ask the installer for the installed height, that is the key measurement for your setup. My numbers are based on an installed height of 1.770", where my stock heads averaged when measured.
