Okay while replacing the TCS plate, I rushed and possibly broke the switch. :bang:
It was in two pieces and inside prongs were showing.

If it's fried, I'm not sure at the moment since I didn't have time to check fuses.

Can I buy a generic switch from radioshack and solder it lin like people use for E-cutouts or would I have to get a GM replacement?

I also need the tech specs for the switch I 'd need.

Thanks in advance.

I think you might have a tough time finding a generic switch to operate the top.

This specialized switch reverses polarity to the motor in order to switch from "up" to "down". See attached diagram.

Just drove home and the button was glowing green like the rest of other buttons in the dash. So i'm guessing that there's some power running through. I 'll report back after testing fuses tomorrow.

From the diagram above, a DPDT / "center off" switch would work in a pinch. It'd help if it was also "momentary" and return to center when released too to keep from accidently leaving it in UP or DN position an burning out the motor.

Best to get an OEM replacement. Wish I had the PN for you.

Yep the switch is fried.

eseibel67, JohnnyBs98WS6Rag thank you both for your input. I picked up an oem switch from a local dealer.

Now If I could only find the Twin Switch bezel for the cutout.
