Default 2009+ LS3/LS7 Throttle Body in a c5 question...

I just purchased what looks to be a 2009+ LS3/7 throttle body(it has the gold throttle body blade) and I plan on putting it in my 2002 corvette z06(already has a FAST 90mm intake).
I already have the conversion harness for the TB.
I was wondering if I will have any issues with using this throttle body on my application?
Does anyone have any firsthand experience?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

There has to be someone on here who has tried to use this with their FAST 90mm intake...

Ive researched this myself, and only came up with one thread saying it will not work. That it freaks out the TPS because the blades open up the opposite way with the new gold blade throttle body.

I don't have any experience though. The new Nick Williams 102mm is based off of this throttle body and I asked in their thread if it created any problems, but haven't got a response.

Thank you very much for your input.
The motor won't be put in the car for a few weeks, so I am just trying to figure out if I need to find another TB or not.

Anyone else ever tried this?

Follow this thread also... https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...l#post13764523

Ive asked the manufacturer and the reseller of the NW TB (Heintz & VA Speed) and they haven't responded as of yet, but they should have the answer to this since there new product is based off of it.

I'm running an LS2 TB on my Fast 90 in the vette so I can't help you but I'm curious - what's the advantage of the LS3 TB over the LS2?

I am pretty sure that the electronics are different.
Not sure there is an advantage or not.
It sounds like no one has even tried putting one on yet(which is very strange and worries me).

gotta use an early ls2 throttlebody (i.e. 2005 gto) on a ls1/6 ecm.i'm petty sure 07 and up 90mm throttlebodies are not compatible with ls1/ls6 ecms.just got my 2001 z06 running last week.lq9 with l92 heads ls3 manifold with early ls2 throttlebody with a casper adaptor.worked without a hitch!

I have seen plenty of people use the early ls2 throttle body with no issues.
I just wanted to confirm with someone who has actually tried using the ls3/7 throttle body above that it does not work before I order another one.

Problem is...I bought the part used off a forum.
I just want to know if it will work or not before I order another one.

Don't assume that since I based my new TB off that design that it will work. I have to modify some things to get them to work on the pre 2005 cars.

Oh I'm not Nick.
I appreciate the input.
I figured it would not work, but I just wanted to hear from someone that has tried it for their self.
I guess I will wait and see what my tuner says.

PM sent.

Car is at the tuner now, just have to wait until he gets time to mess with it...
If anyone has tried this, please let me know.
