Default how do you guys fix your rattling pop up lights?

Any info? I just did silverstar lights in my trans am and it even more obvious that they are loose of course. The cable to the frame is loose when theyr up. It must be play in the joints I'm assuming? I havent looked at it too much, i just figured someone has delt with it and can give me the easy way out lol.

I know that my DS side is "loose" when up, but mine is a direct result of the tabs on the motor having worked loose. Add that to a worn down gear drive, and it shows. When I finally get around to fixing mine, I'll probably just end up replacing the whole motor assembly. I usually screw up more things then I fix when I have to take apart a non-serviceable part.

Just add washers between the cable end and the body until the cable has tension on it with the headlight up. It's hard to explain but you will see what I mean when to get to the cable end. There was a service bulletin about this problem and this was the fix.
