Default Cams w/ 383's

I was wondering what cams everyone is runnign with 383's. I am wanting to drop a 383 LS1 in my S-10. I know that the T-Rex and the MS4 are the strectch for a stock LS1 to handle PTV wise.

Are 383 cam mostly in the 240 range duration wise or bigger? They are not that easily to find like normal LS1 cams. Look to make 450-500 range

24x/25x .64x/.64x That is a big cam!! are the heads ported or milled?? I see a problem on your set up! the ls6 intake and it will give you a flat line like in the 5000rpm's but you have the headers i need 1 7/8

My combo is below. The cam spec was with the nitrous shot in mind. The engine has plenty of grunt n/a down low and pulls hard to 6600 rpm's before dropping.

My cam is a Futural Motorsports spec...Cam Motion is the choice of many who know performance cams! 481/442 636/615

I was running a Vengeance vindicator in my 383. .605 .596 240 244 on a 112 LSA. With AFR 205s, LS6 intake and stock manifolds it made 414rwhp and 420 ft lbs lol.

-2cc torque is more important since it is a truck

OP,give Futural Motorsports a call. You wouldn't be sorry.

When selecting a cam for your cubes, also match it to your heads!

I'm running, what most consider a mild cam for a 383, AFR's 234/238 with AFR 205 heads. Putting down 500hp to the wheels.

Great street manners and tons of torque and power - no regrets.
