yea i kno all about tci junk. circle d, yank, and fti dont offer a 9.5 " converter for the price edge sells them for. I just want to see if any other companies offer good 9.5" converters for a cheaper price i kno this is the most critical part to making my car fast but ive hear so much good things about edge.

An edge is a non billet just like a TCI. I ran one for 1 1/2 years with no problems. However, you are so close to buying a billet converter I would just be patient. Another 150 and you're there. Call up dave at Yank and see if he can give you a free shipping special or something to help you out. He made me a great deal when I bought my SS4k.

Its going to run you a little bit more but yank has a good product, wish I could find the link to lsx tv or whatever where they went over the stuff they do to make them. A yank 3600 is worth almost a full second in the 1/4 on the tb ss they were building. I was pretty impressed with that myself.
They offer a 3 year warranty.
Ive heard bad stuff about tci but for most of the others I haven't.

I ran an Edge Racing converter for a while, just upgraded to a nice billet Yank PY3400.
No new results yet with the PY3400 but will have the car back together soon.

I ran a Edge 3400 with anti baloon plate on my old nitrous LT1 car for a little under 2 years. Picked up nearly 1/2 sec in the quarter over the stock converter. I think I paid $550 + shipping.

I've got an edge 3400 converter in my car and love it! It does everything right. Dropped .6 sec in the 1/4 compared to my 6spd, AND gained 2mph. And I'm pretty decent stick driver at that.
I've seen the plain old edge converter, non billet back, go 9.46@145 a few times in a friends car, and another one go 10.40's@142.
For $500 bucks, it's tough to beat
