LS4 Performance - GXP might be going away.

Well kids, tomorrow after having picked her up end of May 2008 with 16.7k miles, enjoying her up to her current odo of 60k miles with a few road trips and daily fun & disturbance with the occasional catless downpipe/open cutout...I think the time has come to try and move on.

I've found a C5 Z06 down south, and given that everything goes well in working out a trade I will be coming back home GXP-less.

I too may be going in the way of C5. Just tried out a G8 GT as well but because it is just a weekend warrior car I am going to go with a C5.

Thanks guys...I'm the new proud owner of a 02 Quick Silver Z06 :) found it an independent BMW dealer in West LA off Santa Monica Blvd.

To add to that, I came back home with the GXP. They could only give me $8k for it, no way I'd let it go for that...so it will now become my mom's car. Its about time she retired her 00 Impala and we get to keep the GXP in the family. I grew too attached to its torque steer having, no traction having FWD, 62/38 weight distribution, major squat under WOT self of a car ;)

If you're looking for one, Nick, there's a bright red 2001 Z06 at Shaver in Thousand Oaks. Not sure what they're asking for it, but I've driven by it a few times this week.

I know I'm late but here's a couple shots of the new lady from the local LSX club cruise we had today through the Napa wine valley area today. She is bone bone stock. I need tires and maybe brakes (although brakes did good on the twisties today), probably do an overall change of all fluids first as well. After that LT's and a tune, then on to suspension mods. I want to do lots of road racing/autox primarily. More power will come later on (Year or 2) in form of a big cam (MS4/G5X3-type cam) and juice or some boost.

Already went to go see it. They are asking 19k for it. It has 70k+ miles. Pretty beat inside and out. Front air dam all scraped up...missing some paint here and there. Said a 17 yr old kid traded it on for a STi. Not that I'm much older, but it definitely shows that a 17 yr old kid owned it when you get up close.
