Default Camaro SS Detail

This car was fairly clean for the most part as the owner takes exceptional care of his toys. Some of the 'after' pics didn't come out or weren't even able to be taken because the flake in the paint made the glare from the sungun or actual sun too much to show anything good. Here are a few I did take though. I also completed the owners Lexus IS350 but I was not able to take any pics of that vehicle due to lighting.

Wash with Meg soap.
Spot clayed using clay magic: doors, front fascia, rear bumper/spoiler, and front and rear lower fenders (worst spots). These spots had hard caked on tar/rubber right behind the tires.
Corrected with Menzerna SIP along with Meguiars M105 / LCC orange pad.
Followed by Meguiars M205 / LCC black pad.
Sealed with SFX blazin / LCC blue pad.
Tires and trim dressed with SFX dressing.
Fender wells cleaned with APC then dressed with Meguiars natural finish.
Glass cleaned with Stoners crystal clear / microfiber.

Before: Could barely see any swirling or marring.

After: (very hard to get a good shot with out just showing the light)

Very nice!

Nice to see someone else who's a fan of the SFX line

What did you use to polish those small, plastic/fiberglass triangular pieces behind the windows?

I've been with the SFX line/ TC line since day one really. I have steered a little away from it venturing out and trying different pads/combo's but I do like his stuff. I actually turned Steve on to the M105/205 line when I talked to him a while back. He's a great guy to deal with and his work/knowledge is top notch.

For the triangular pieces I used the same as the paint. M105/205 and then seal. I would also try Menz SIP and PO85RD the finishing on the 85RD is amazing and I sometimes use that as a LSP. It's a great product. They end up finishing like mirrors. I didn't get a chance to snap any pics of the afters on the triangular pics but check my other detail threads and you can see how they finish.

I have used his stuff for quite a while as well. Most of what I have still has the old tropicare labels on it, lol.

Great job. Nice to see going to the little extra effort to tape off the rubber/plastic areas. I still have some stains on my car from wax and compounds.

What kind of light is that and where did you get it? I've been looking for a good handheld light for detailing.

Nice work, as always.

Ok man, you can detail cars. We know, who cares! Just joking man, keep them coming man. You definitely do bad *** work. I just moved to SA and don't have access to a full detail shop anymore. Is your girl still in San Marcos? If so, next time your down I may need you to work your magic on the SS. It definitely needs some love.

Thanks, Justin! I did do a little bit of work. 13 20oz bottles of water later and two breaks and both cars were done. Ezra along with everyone there at his home was a pleasure to deal with and kept me up to date with everything. Very good people for sure.

He is using the Brinkman Dual Xenon (although he's only using a single bulb illuminated), known as the "swirlfinder".

Pick it up at academy for 24 bucks....best 24 bucks I've spent as far as detailing goes.

Ah, missed this post. Yes it's a Brinkman.

I bought mine from Autogeek. It was actually free to me for all the items I have purchased.

I would always swap it for a clean WS6 or C5!

I am really happy with the Lexus. It looks great. Next time we will get the F done.

So how long did the work take on the SS?

Also, do you work with Rotary or DA?

I use a DA.
