Default what oil to use to break-in new motor

just have a full built motor with a pt88 and i wanna knw what oil i could use and how i should break it in on the motor ? ill be changing it in a few hundred miles

I believe Gibbs has a good racing oil with loads of ZDPP. Most conventional oils have very little ZDPP, as it tends to foul o2 sensors and cat converters if driven long-term. However, for new motors/components, ZDPP aids tremendously during initial break-in.

More expensive than regular oil, but well worth it.

Brad Penn makes a break in oil. They bought out the old Kendall GT1. Their oil is still greenish blue.

i use valvoline racing vr-1 30w oil
comp cams recommended it when i called in for my cam

all oils listed are great just diff in price but all good oils brad penn is a damn good oil though lol just went with the vr1 30 cause i found it @ oreillys and didnt have to drive far plus comp recommended it

We use the Joe Gibbs racing oil for break in on our motors. It has the good additives which aid in the break in process.

brad penn is all my SAM graduate engine builder of 10 yrs will use so take that for what it's worth

Comp Cams actually has a motor oil now, just saw it on the website yesterday. It has ZDPP and probably good for break-in? Cannot get the link to work to read up on it some more so...
