Default Oil Gallery Bearing/Ball

It's been so long and I can remember where the damn bearing is supposed to be... I want to check to see if it is there before i button up things. Also is there an oil pan with a built in windage tray, or Should I use the stock one? If stock will work will installing be the same on spayed mains?

If you look there is a plug up top that covers the top side, the hile is under the rear cap. It should be in there not too far down.

When I get a block back from the Machine shop I allways drop a skinny long screwdriver in the hole to make sure the ball was there.

Yes remove that plug by the oil pressure sending unit and look down the hole , it should be about six inches down or so.

The Canton pan has a built in windage and crank scraper. Good pan, but can leak around the drain plug sometimes on older pans.
