4th gen camaro paint ideas opinions welcome Okay so im toying with the idea of painting her flat or hot rod black with either a red hockey stripe kit or red rally stripe kit (i dont want to get them painted on because it would be more of a bitch than its worth) with a sunoco hood and rs ground effects kit, yay or nay?

i haven't seen a 4th gen look good in flat black in person. I've seen a few corvettes that look real good and my friend did it to his harley. Seems like you need a car with a lot of curves to make the flat look good.
simple black with those stripes should be just as cheap

well i picked the car up for 2500 and im really more of a motor/mechanics kinda guy, so i would plan on spending like 2-3k and make it look at least decent, and im dong ground effects out of necessity more than appearance, it was wrecked and the panels under the doors took a bit of a beating on the underside

I would say no on the flat if you were adding an accent color. It seems to defeat the purpose of matte colors in my mind.
