Default LT1 - Codes 36 and 42

My '94 T/A has been intermittently stalling. It will then start up after a few tries. I pulled codes and got a 36 (ignition system - faulty high-resolution pulse or extra low-resolution pulse) and a 42 (ignition control circuit - shorted or grounded circuit). Any ideas?

They have a forum feature for sponsors that searches key words. So when you mention chandler it alerts me. I fully expect this feature to be abused. In for goat threads.
