Street Racing & Kill Stories - Killed a 2011 Gt500 at the track last night. VID**

Here it is, me vs. a 2011 gt500. we both spun a lil, however he had one hell of a MPH. I had low bottle pressure. was right a 900 and was below 8 at the finish... not bad for an old slowt1

Kidding, but he obviously needs some seat time (and probably a good tire) to get the best out of that sweet trap. At least he didnt blow the tires off and run a high 12.

yep. ive ran a best of 11.4 and could better that time with the racing fuel i had last night. then no matter what it would have been close still. just have to say my factory shocks with nitto 555rs are killin me. i get lucky and dont spin much once in a blue moon. hence the 11.4 @ 118.8. and btw he had the best et streets with skinnies up front.......crazy thing is he owns FOUR of the 2011 gt 500s. he has a SICK blue one. 10s all day. lol. I need to run slicks and skinnies. all my times are on my heavy ass chrome 10 spokes...

Sick kill man....who cares if he was reeling you in it's a quarter-mile track not a half a mile.....you still got um and thats all that matters!

good kill. i hate the roll racing argument. dig races seperate the men from the boys.. takes all the driving skill and car's abilities out of the picture (not talking about the 1100hp 2wd Lambos where it's impracticle).

lol thanks! actually it still has factory heads and its a stock 4 bolt bottom end!!! its a full bolt on, full exhaust, cc 503 cam only. with a 150 shot. 3615 lbs with me in it. ran a best time so far of 11.43 and i was still spinning just a tad. on top of all that i have a a baby stall. its a 2500. next year we are gonna see what a 3000-3200 will do :D

Lt1s are now probably the most underestimated muscle car, they really have a TON of potential. i think it was just that the ls came out so quickly after the lt was introduced....

i have no idea what mods he has. im sure he has a pulley. if i hadnt had such low bottle pressure i think that i would have been a little different. oh well its a super nice and super fast car. ill ask him the mods next time i see him.

He should have done better with ET streets on. MM&FF went 11.592 at 118.45 bone stock with ET streets. that GT500 went faster so it had mods.

beech bend has some wickedly fast cars running there.
where i used to go when i was stationed at Fort Campbell there was a old eagle talon there looked crappy as heck but was running 9's in the 140-150mph range
