Default Will running open headers to the exhaust shop hurt the O2's?

I have to head to the exhaust shop tomorrow to get a pipe made for my duals. Problem is I don't have a piece of pipe that I can fit on the drivers side to extend past the O2 sensors. I know that running open headers can be tough on the O2 sensors and the trip is about 30 miles. Will it hurt to run it out there open headers with no extensions off the collectors?

Nah it will be fine. It might get a little air back across the sensors and add some fuel but it shouldn't hurt it for a quick trip to the exhaust shop.

yeah, what Jon says. . . just careful letting off the gas, it'll backfire a lot then.

Might want to wait for a shift change at the local PD. I did this once and **** myself the whole way there.

^^^ It was. I put Spohn Solid mounts in and it raised the motor a little, so now I have to get a pipe tweaked...

I tried it. Fouled my plugs out within 10 miles. I ended up flat bedding it to the exhaust shop which is across town. The O2's see the fresh air and dumps fuel in because it thinks its running lean.
