There has been A LOT of service advisor positions listed in careerbuilder lately. I got hired on at a dealer advising this past Monday.

DFW, Austin, Houston, SA... all good places to move for jobs. When I moved to Austin, I got hired in a week... Don't know your background, but a degree helps.

you could find a service advisor job anywhere and there's tons of dealers in the metroplex so i don't think you would have a problem... it seems there is always an opening for that position... the problem is finding someone that is good at it and can actually deal with it haha... flatblackz, a service writer is the person that gets your car written up for service/warranty work at a dealership

neutron82, I agree with the dealing with it, but between 4 years of working
at the largest Chevy dealer in the US and wrapping up 5 1/2 years taking 911 calls for Arlington, I think I'm prepared for just about anything. I'm just hoping to fit in and the rest of my group make a lot of money together.
