i may be wrong, but i assume your talking about the lsa, and if so, im pretty sure that its basically an ls3 with a supercharger, so it should fit, but there may be clearance issues becuase the supercharger is all on the top, intercooler included i believe

yeah it will defiantly fit, only question is how much of your cowl you will have to cut off. Please tell me you are about to put one in your T/A. That will be sick.

oh i think i misunderstood your question. you want to just put the blower on your ls1? if thats the case, no it will not work. the blower is for rectangle port heads, and u cant swap the heads onto a LS1 because they require a 4" minimum bore.

I agree with everything so far. that blower will work on any gen4 engine (rectangular intake ports on the heads), so if you swapped an engine in with the blower yes (or had your ls1 punched out to take rec. port heads which usually have valves too big for 346s). The blower itself is smaller than, say a maggie, or a kenne bell and some of those have variants that require minimal cowl trimming..

Default planning a LQ4 or LY6

I was actualley planning a LQ4 or LY6 (since they are low compression motors and the L92 heads would fit) w/ this Caddie. blower.

I would also want to alter the pulleys for more than stock boost.

also would a 216-224-551-551-115 blower cam (designed for the 346CI) be to small for the LQ4 or LY6?

maybe a 222-228-551-551-15 would be better for a larger than 346CI

the procharger is nice however it's pricie and requires maintaince (oil changes)

Thanks for advice

With custom machined motor mounts, and lowering the stock subframe... this fits...

Or you can buy some small-bore rectangular heads from Mast Motorsports.... but they're pricey. Another aftermarket shop sells them too... RLP or something like that?

very cool is this you're car?

looks like a 427CI w/ dry sump oil sys.

did the cowl have to trimmed like w/ a Maggie blower?

can solid motor mounts be cut and made shorter?

also if I had the Caddie motor, trans. and PCM would the TA guage cluster still work?

Thanks

BTW, I think the Cadillac LSA intercooler (which sits on top of the supercharger unit) is a little taller than the LS9 intercooler pictured above.

It will fit in a 3rd gen. actually, this is an LS7 with a maggie, but i'd think the dimensions are about the same.

That Randy?

That guy knows his stuff - saying that with even changing an air filter - he'd have to change the entire tune. Did he work on the E-rod?

he did indeed..

yea, working on this stuff at the OE level is a completely different world than the aftermarket, too bad not all of us get to work on such "fun" projects at work. But its still a pretty cool place to work.
