Default LE2 over stock heads, whats the HP increase?

Hmm so currently putting down 356rwhp/362tq. This is with stock heads that have been milled and a hotcam(headers also, all the usual stuff). There are some good deals out there on LE2 heads, so roughly how much more power would I see with just the head swap? Also factor in a ported LE intake. Just theoretical, I'm probably going to be responsible and pay off the credit card instead, but just wondering in case irresponsible Corey wakes up tomorrow instead of practical Corey.

I HIGHLY doubt over 400 with a hotcam. My guess would be 375-380.

yeah, you need to upgrade your cam if you go with those heads.

Get your LE2 heads and beef up your lift with 1.7RR it will put your Hot Cam at .550+. The most I heard a Hot Cam make is 380rwhp/356tq with TEA heads. Check this out http://www.kyfbodies.org/vb/showthread.php?t=9143 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmepG...eature=channel stock LT4 with 4.10 gears and Hot Cam making 354rwhp/348tq

I remember back about 6-7yrs some guy on CZ28.com had a 355 hotcam & AFR 195's. Everyone was shocked to see him put donw 400rw+, but the car was a m6/10 bolt.

Impressive, especially since modern LE2s outperform the old AFR 195s out of the box. The older small AFRs really needed porting to shine compared to ported stockers.

The new eliminator 195s are beastly though...they flow like the old 210s did .

I still don't see 400 though. With a hotcam and a baseline of 356(already nice numbers BTW! ) I would say ~375. Hotcam just doesn't need much head, so you won't see as much of an improvement upgrading the heads as you would if you had a larger cam.

I would go with a smaller runner head with that cam.
