Putting new heads on this week along with ARP head bolts and came accross this in the Summit online catalogue:

most machine shops use oil when they torque main and rod bolts or studs,so i use oil.. my machine shop even specifies what weight oil they use, they put a card in the box with the parts, or they tag the block...

using different lubricants than what was initially used in the machining process can alter torque readings quite a bit..
