Default PRC 227 Heads Now Available In 60cc Chambers For Large Camshafts!

I'm proud to announce we've worked out a chamber configuration for guys wanting to run the PRC 227 heads (2.065/1.600" valves) with larger camshafts like the MS3, MS4, & Tsunami!! This new configuration will allow stock cube LS1 engines the ability to run the same cylinder head that our 9.66 heads cam record holder car runs without fly-cutting!!

Here's a pic of a set going out the door today! The cool thing is these heads are on the $200 off special currently!

im currently running the tsunami with 2.5 ls6 heads. my car made 426 on a mustang dyno, how big of a gain could i expect switching to these new heads? will they make my car less street freindly? and how much do they cost?

I'd expct you'll see approx. 15hp gains from the 227 over a good set of LS6 heads. Don't foget to baseline before & after the install if you decide to swap. it's important that you dont use a several month old graph as a baseline for individual mod swaps like this.

Not really....most of the CNC ported 5.3L and LS6 heads that everyone runs on these 5.7 LS1 engines have larger intake runner (by volume) than 227cc!

I absolutely agree with Matt. Most stock castings end up bigger than 227cc. I've dyno tested them before & if I were building a stock cube engine it would be running the 227s NO DOUBT!

Look like a killer set of heads. Let me be a test dummy, lol. Turn my F-Body into Utah's fastest, haha. Looks like a good deal, guys. Wish I had the dough.

The TSp Ls6 heads are about 230cc, smaller would be better like a 205-215 but it isn't too big for a 5.7L.

The LS engines are amazing. I remember when those runner sizes where big for some GEN I 400 SBC motors.
