Default Has anyone seen a LS1 swap into the new body Mustangs?

Just wondering about the viability of taking the LS1 I have in storage and dropping it in a 2005 Mustang roller (was a V6) that I can pick up real cheap. Anyone attempted this or seen it yet?

I doubt much luck. It can be done if you have time ,and money though. All the K members are for 79-04 . So good luck. If you do It lets see pictures...

The 96-2011 all use the same 4.6 modular motor. the LS drops right in on a Modular K-member... with some minor mods. So I see no reason why it wouldn't drop into a 2005-up car.

I am wanting to do this swap too.The main thing is how to keep all the electric stuff on the mustang working.I own a 05 gt and its slow as molassess compared to any ls1 car I have had and these 4.6 motors cost a ton to mod with shitty results. Let us know if you find any info!!
