I have an 02 SS with an 02 z06 cam and springs.
Specs(205* intake, 219* exhaust Lift: 0.551 intake, 0.549 exhaust LSA: 117.4).
I was told this is the largest cam I can install before the engine light comes on. Is this true? I DO NOT want to take anything out of the system in order to run a larger cam. I want all the.emissions equipment in place. Rear o2s, converters and air system. What are some specs u guys r running while keeping the emissions equip? Thanks.

I think the only thing you want to avoid is a lot of overlap on the cam. That will make for rough running at low RPM which screws up the emissions. Supposedly a 224 cam on 114LSA is the biggest you can go and still pass the sniffer test in CA which obviously has all emissions equipment. I kept all my emissions with my 224 cam. You do need a good tune if you install any cam.

Yep, I was told the same thing, a TR224 114lsa is pretty much the biggest you can go and still pass the sniffer and run stock converter if you're A4. You don't want any overlap if you have to pass strict emissions tests. The TR224 is -4 degrees at 0.050.
If you don't want to get a tune either I think you could get away with a LS6 cam at most.
