Imo. It works but it tends to pucker in the frame. Both of those areas on mine are more puckered in than I would like. Use a block of wood to distribute the pressure and it will be fine.

Thats a fiine place. You could put something in between though. Like a 2x4 or something like that, provides a bit more support then the skinny jackstand post

X2, Also using a small piece of 2x4 between the frame and jack is a good idea too.

I agree, however, keep in mind that the frame of the car is on a bit of an angle, with respect to the jackstand, so slippage is possible, especially if you have a piece of wood in there. For safety's sake, I'd also get the rear of the car off the ground too, in order to keep the car level while you're under there.
