Western Members - 2,150rpm @ 70mph in an SS M6. 4.10s??

In 6th gear that is. I couldn't figure it out so I thought that I ask.

Are you unsure about the gearing or whats your question? That does not sound like 4.10 gearing at all to me the rpm's are way too high! It sounds like you have 4.56 gears if you're at 2100 rpm @ 70. Look here: http://www.f-body.org/gears/

dont have an answer for ya, but for reference my car is @ that rpm around 90 mph with stock 3.42 gearing

Ya I'm going off the tach. I got a hypertech to change the computer to 4.10, so I'm thinking it's accurate.

Stock size 275 40 17.

It did ask for tire size more than double checked it. I know it's right. Another screed asked for gear ratio and 4.10 was there so I chose that. I'm just hoping that the shop did put in 4.10s. Didn't even think about this, I can always check to see how many times the drive shaft rotates compared to tire rotation.

so running that calculator my car runs at 2000 rpm at 60 mph thats not right according to the chart ?

that sounded about right when i had my stock sized tires with my 410s

I have an F-body M6 in my RX-7 with 4.10's and I run a hair under 2,000 RPM at 70MPH. 265/35R18 tires.

With my stock tires i am about 2050 rpm at 70 with 4.11s and about 2200 at 80.
