Transmission slippage after what seems like an electrical fault
Hey everyone, all of a sudden I was driving today and the "ASR OFF" light appeared on the dash. I looked over at the ASR button and the orange light was no longer illuminated. Weird....
I decided to pull over and shut down the car. I waited about 15 seconds before restarting it and it ran better than ever after I resarted it. About an hour later, the "ASR OFF" light came back on and my transmission started acting up. It would rev all the way up to a little over 3k before shifting, and the shifts would be rough as if the transmission were slipping. I had to let off the gas to make the tranny shift without hitting redline unless I wanted a violent shift. I don't know much about transmissions so I wasn't really able to diagnose the problem. It's a 4L60E totally stock. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
