I am looking at getting a cam only. I was woundering what was the best cam out there that got decent number's from. I have seen on tsp that they offer some cam's that do get 50+ r.w.h.p for a cam only. Was wounder what you guy's have for cam's only and what your h.p. number's are??

I would recomend doing a double rolling timing chain and some dual springs. As for a cam depends on what intake and heads your currently running.

thats 50 hp with all the supporting mods.you want a cam that fit your combo,exhaust,gears,stall.what exhaust system do you have?

so do you just want big numbers? something good for mid range power or just top end? what will your rev limiter be set at? what do you do with your car? daily driver/road race/drag?

and how stock is your car?

i have a 2001 trans am ws6 with the 6spd and i have lt headers, ory, and a slp loudmouth 1 cat back, ls6 intake. im wanting to install a cam but im not sure which one to go with just yet id like to make about 350 to 400 rwhp. i was also going to add a slp lid and smooth bellow here pretty soon. and a 75 shot of n20 but id like to make the 350 to 400 rwhp on all motor

consider a TSP 228r or a torquer v2 cam pkg,cam+springs+harden push rods.get a ls2 timing chain also.

For a Daily Driver, good Idle, etc.........several of the Car Magazines use the Comp Cam 212/218 for its excellent power curve, mileage, etc.
