question for a set of heads i have
i have a set of 241 heads that will be replacing the 853's on my 2000 z28. my question is if i have the 241's ported and polished will they be sufficient enough to use with the ms3 cam i want? and also if i did use the 241's would i have to change anything internally to be able to use the ms3?

the heads will be fine but you will have to change the springs and pushrods if the cam is any larger than stock, i dont know the ms3 cam but i am sure it is far from stock , if you are at .550 or less of lift you can use the stock LS6 spings that are a deal and a half , dont forget new head gaskets and new head bolts , Eric

i would be building the entire car around the ms3, so what im asking is what would i need out of the 241 heads to make it match up well with the cam.

the ms3 usually makes 10 hp more then a 228r.if you buy a TSP cam kit ,you get a cam, springs, and push rods.I would also look at a custom cam from Pat-G.If you know your head flow numbers Patrick will spec you a cam that will do a little better then a ms3.How old is the ms3 design?TSP dose custom cams.
