Default 346ci H/C 1/8 mile times? (autos)

I was just wanting to know what everyones 1/8mile times were. Trying to figure out what the average is on how H/C setups run. Please list your 60ft, 1/8 mile ET and MPH. Also a raceweight would be nice.

My best is 7.23@94.2 mph with a 1.57 60ft. My raceweight is about 3360lbs

Thanks,
Mark

I wish they listed 1/8 times in the fastest list.

It sucks for us 1/8 mile guys to try and compare to 1/4 mile times.

Nice times man. You look like your in the ballpark. I have seen some 7.0's and a few 7.1's when I have looked on here to compare also. Nice 60 ft. What convertor are you running?

One of my bests, not sure if any are any better..

1.52 60'
7.124@94.913
11.256@118.52

This is on a heads/cam car set-up for n2o. I am sure it could have been better with a lil more timing in it. Also bacically full weight, only weight reduction is spare/jack and light weight wheels. Also on a fairly tight convertor for N/A a Yank ss4000e.

6.651 at 102.08 at Norwalk's COFBA day with a "mediocre" 1.444 60' (usually 1.40-1.42). Ran a bunch of 6.65-6.69's at 101.8-102.4 that day. Raceweight was just above 3100 (3111-3131 that day depending on gas). Take care.

Rick01SS: I know what you mean man. That's why I asked so see 1/8mile times

00SS4780: Thanks for the 60ft comment. I run a Vigilante 3600

RUQWIKR: That's amazing, your car is in a totally different league than the rest of us. I can't get close to 60fting in the 1.4's let alone run 102MPH in the 1/8

I have seen a few calculations out there that come pretty close to figure 1/8 to 1/4 times and 1/4 to 1/8. Take the 1/8 mile time and multiply by 1.55 and you will get the 1/4 mile time. Take the 1/4 mile time and multiply by .64 and you will get the 1/8 mile time. In my experience it is pretty accurate to within a tenth give or take how fast the car is. Its obviously not an exact science factoring in track conditions and of course every car is different, but it might help get you a ball park figure.

Actually, a huge part of mine and some of the other very fast cars with similar combos is the 60'. Remember that, assuming linear acceleration for the first 60' (not truly dead-accurate), there is a large difference in mph to that point (and beyond) between, say a 1.40-1.42 and a 1.55-1.57 60'...same logic will hold true for the ET as well.

At the next COFBA meet in the spring, come on up as I will come down from MI for it. Take care.

All you need are some drag radials. 1.9's should click off with ease. even 1.8's

I agree with RUQUIKR, that it is all in the 60ft. All I can manage right now is a 1.78 with my SY3500. I can't wait till taxes come back and I can put a better convertor in. Good luck.

My best 1/8 and 1/4.
60……1.54
1/8……7.10
1/8……96.08
1/4….11.18
1/4….120.24

That was with a -900 DA and a race weight of ~3420.

At the time I was running a Yank PT4400 converter. The other mods were the same.

Thanks

I was also running ET Streets and skinnies.

I had all the usual weight reductions as well running a race seat only. My race weight is not very low.
